X Nitro RC PLans To Set Guinness World Record For RC Car Jump!

As X Nitro RC is a fast growing business, we are planning to set a name for our self’s. We are planning to set a Guinness World Record for the longest radio control car jump.

Its ever so easy thinking up an idea like this but implementing it is a different thing as we were searching for current records which may have been set we came across Richard Saxton:

The above video shows Team Associated’s Richard Saxton set the World Record at 137.3 feet for the longest radio controlled car jump with a Team Associated RC8B nitro powered buggy.

We plan to beat this current record using just a 6 foot ramp, still working with the best angle of the ramp we have come to the conclusion that the remote control car needs to be achieving speeds in excess of 65MPH.

I posted a thread in RC Tech’s forum to get more incite into the world record jump here is the post:

Member’s by the name of ABURTON & bgbelden alerted me about a guy called Adam Drake who set a 144 earlier this year below is the video:

It is proving more of a challenge than expected but none the less plans to set the world record are still in motion.

November 25th update:

Hey Guys,

Updates for world record jump:

1. Still waiting on Guinness World Records to get back to me, with regulations etc, thats looking to be sometime after christmas.

2. I’ve just invested in a couple miniture wireless cameras to place on the car so you get a view from car level.

3. Its looking promising for a venue, a local school race track, which has a surface of light gravel which is big enough for the jump.

4. Insurance is COVERED!

Was fun calling around for insurance, the response was quite funny:

“You want to do what with what?” – Classic.
“So are you going to be in the car or not?” – Can i fit?
“So its like a motor bike jump?” – Yeah if a car is a bike!
